British Airways announced that Floridians planning to travel to Europe next year will have the chance to experience British Airways’ new state-of-the-art Airbus A380 superjumbo. From October 2015, the premium British airline will offer two daily A380 services from Miami International Airport to London Heathrow, with onward connections to more than 100 destinations.

The largest commercial airliner in the sky, British Airways’ A380 can accommodate up to 469 customers across two decks and four cabins.

The First cabin features 14 luxurious suites with 30 percent more personal space than the previous generation. Customers in First will be able to enjoy à la carte dining or try the A380 exclusive five course taster menu.

The popular World Traveller Plus (premium economy) cabin will have 55 seats and 303 seats will be available in World Traveller (economy).

British Airways and American Airlines customers will now have a choice of four daily flights to London (two operated by American Airlines on a Boeing 777 aircraft), with the opportunity to earn and burn miles across both airlines.

Sean Doyle, British Airways’ Executive Vice President Americas, said „With our joint business partner Iberia offering its new A330 service from Miami to Madrid and American offering a twice daily service to London, our customers in Miami will be able to fly to Europe in style.

“This is part of our multi-billion dollar investment in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges, and new technologies to make life more comfortable in the air and on the ground.”

British Airways operates nonstop flights to London from three cities in Florida. In October 2015 the Miami A380 service will move from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Terminal 3, the main oneworld alliance base.
