Air Lituanica has decided to operate direct flights to Stockholm Bromma Airport located in the centre of Stockholm from 26 January 2015. An aircraft will be making as many as 10 flights per week from Vilnius International Airport.

According to Air Lituanica Director of Commerce Simonas Bartkus, business passengers have already recognised the convenience of the flights. „Flights will be operated at particularly convenient times: flying to Stockholm and back will be possible in one day and passengers from Sweden will also be able to arrive for short stays. What is more, our flights to the airport located in the central part of Stockholm will save a lot of time for those travelling from the airport to their workplace. Solna Business Center, for example, can be reached by foot while a taxi ride to Stockholm old town takes 15 minutes,” says Mr. Bartkus.

Air Lituanica will operate flights from Monday to Thursday in the mornings and evenings and on Fridays and Sundays – in the evenings only. Departure time from Vilnius on Mondays and Thursdays will be at 07:50 a.m., from Stockholm – at 08:35 a.m., on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Vilnius – at 08:15 a.m., from Stockholm – at 09:25 a.m. Evening flights from Vilnius from Monday to Friday and on Sundays will be operated at 05:35 p.m. and from Stockholm – at 06:45 p.m. The flight duration is 1 hour 45 min. Bromma Airport is just 8-9 km from the city centre.

During the summer season of 2014, Air Lituanica already operated flights from Vilnius to two Swedish cities – Göteborg and Malmö.The flights were operated from mid-June to the end of August, with 2 evening flights per week on both routes. The company is also planning to strengthen communication with Sweden this summer.
