AeroGround seals long-term deals with Etihad Airways & AirBridge Cargo
Munich Airport’s ground handling subsidiary AeroGround has succeeded in securing a long-term contract for landside and airside passenger and aircraft handling services with the Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways. A full handling agreement has also been signed with the Russian cargo airline AirBridge Cargo (ABC).
The agreement with Etihad Airways covers the range of passenger handling services, to be provided by AeroGround affiliate aerogate, and ramp-side aircraft handling through AeroGround. The airline flies from Munich to Abu Dhabi twice a day. In addition to aircraft handling by Aeroground, the contract with AirBridge Cargo covers freight handling through Cargogate. ABC operates a weekly service from Moscow to Munich with a Boeing 747F freighter, providing a link to the Asian region for flows of goods from southern Germany.
In cooperation with its affiliated companies aerogate and Cargogate, AeroGround is the only single-source provider in Munich offering the full range of airside and landside handling services for passengers, aircraft and cargo. A key element of this concept is the central sales function of AeroGround, which has handled all sales and marketing activities for the three ground handling companies AeroGround, aerogate and Cargogate since 2013.
