Sukhoi Completed Contract with Gazpromavia for SSJ100 Delivery

On July 10, 2015 the tenth Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft was delivered to the Russian airline – Gazpromavia. Upon signature of the Acceptance Act for the SSJ100 with a tail number RA-89054 the aircraft operated a ferry flight from the Delivery Center of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company to the airline’s base airport – Ostafyevo near Moscow. After the registration of the airworthiness certificate the tenth Sukhoi Superjet 100 in Gazpromavia fleet will start commercial operations.

The contract with Gazprom Komplektatsiya for delivery of ten Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in its long range version to Gazpromavia was signed in August 2011. In March 2014 Gazpromavia, having operated the first commercial flight from Moscow to Sovietsky in Western Siberia, became the launch operator of SSJ100 aircraft in its long range modification.

This version differs from the basic SSJ100 by the flight range reaching 4.578 km, by increased to 49.45 tons takeoff weight allowing to take more fuel on board to cover the targeted distance and strengthened wing. The aircraft is equipped with the engine SaM146 with increased by 5% take-off thrust.

All SSJ100 in the fleet of Gazpromavia are featuring 90 economy class passenger seats. Ten of them providing increased pitch – 34 inches.

The route network of Gazpromavia for SSJ100 includes destinations in central and southern part of Russia, the North Caucasus and the Urals, Western Siberia and the Far North, including the world’s only airport located beyond the Arctic Circle – Yamburg, where the temperature can drop below minus 50 degrees. In addition, the airline operates Sukhoi Superjet 100 to Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
