Nordic Aviation Capital purchased 5 ATR 72-500

Nordic Aviation Capital has purchased five ATR 72-500 turboprops from turkish regional airline Borajet: MSN 982, 705, 702, 701 & 588.

Nordic Aviation Capital A/S is a global aircraft leasing company dedicated to the worldwide sale, purchasing and financing of commercial jet and turboprop aircraft. NAC is the largest turboprop lessor in the world.

The company provides aircraft to well-known carriers such as Lufthansa, Air France, US Airways, Garuda, Avianca, Flybe, and other major regional carriers including Air Berlin and Azul. Nordic Aviation Capital’s current fleet of over 190 aircraft includes, ATR 42, ATR 72, Bombardier Dash 8, Boeing 737 and CRJ1000 aircraft.

Borajet was founded in 2008 and started operations in 2010 with three ATR72-500. In 2014 Borajet agreed a deal to lease five Embraer 190 (with options on a further three) from GE Aviation Capital Services.
