Jettainer (Frankfurt), service partner for outsourced ULD management, is taking over the supervision and maintenance of containers and pallets for Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir). Headquartered in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo, the airline is Jettainer’s first client on the African continent. With this recent acquisition, the German company is continuing on its worldwide course of growth. In 2014, Jettainer has already acquired new clients Jet Airways and American Airlines in the Indian and Asian region as well as the US.

„We operate on a global scale and still see high potential for further growth, especially in the Asian market. The recent developments show that airlines around the world are convinced by our innovative complete service for ULDs,” says Carsten Hernig, Managing Director of Jettainer GmbH. Currently, Jettainer manages more than 85,000 ULDs for 16 clients. In order to maintain the airlines, which operate mostly around the globe, the company has developed an international network of locations. Equatorial Congo Airlines will now also be able to profit from this network.

The Congolese airline has decided to outsource the management and maintenance of ULDs to Jettainer as soon as they start their operation of flights using wide-body aircrafts. The airline is thereby following a trend, confirms Don Jacobs, Sales Director at Jettainer GmbH: “In order to cover the ULD demand, airlines – especially smaller airlines and airlines extending into wide-body operations – increasingly rely on external specialists. This provides additional opportunities. We are expecting to continue our growth with new clients from various regions and several business models in the coming year.”
