Jet Aviation Basel has signed a new Completions agreement with an undisclosed client in the Middle East for a VIP cabin interior on a Boeing BBJ3. The aircraft will be delivered to the company in Q1 2016.

Jet Aviation Basel signed the company’s 27th Boeing completions contract. The engineering, interior component production, cabin installation, flight tests and certification of this BBJ3 VIP cabin interior will take place in Basel, Switzerland. The aircraft is intended for both private and commercial operation, seating up to 45 passengers privately and 19 on commercial flights. It will have European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval.

Designed by the Basel Completions Design Studio, the interior of the BBJ3 will feature a forward galley and crew area, a majlis, a master bedroom with a customized master bathroom and shower, a cinema lounge and a dining area for six. It will also feature a business class section, an economy class seating area and an aft galley. The aircraft will be equipped with the latest generation of satellite communications and connectivity, including an iridium satellite communication system and satellite TV.

Jet Aviation Basel has been completing aircraft at its Completions Center since 1977 and has created more than 200 cabin interiors. It is widely recognized as a leading high-end completions center for both narrow- and wide-body Boeing BBJs and Airbus ACJs.
