Glasgow is the newest summer destination of Lufthansa from Munich. From 16 May 2015, the city of music and design will be served once a week under flight number LH 2518. The Airbus A319 will take off respectively at 15:10, thus offering optimal connections from all domestic German and European airports.

“We are pleased to announce to our guests five new destinations this summer, including Glasgow in Scotland. The variety of museums, art galleries, shops and traditional local pubs makes the new summer destination particularly interesting”, says Thomas Klühr, member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, Finance & Hub Munich. Besides Glasgow, Lufthansa is also flying for the first time from Munich to Keflavik/Iceland, Heraklion/Crete, Seville/Spain and to Perugia in Umbria/Italy in this summer schedule.

The city in south west Scotland has a lot to offer tourists. Glasgow was voted the sixth European Capital of Culture in 1990, the City of Architecture and Design in 1999 and the European Capital of Sport in 2003. In addition, Glasgow is considered the “shopping centre of Scotland” and is the most popular shopping destination in Britain after London.
