On Monday (10 November) the first Condor flight took off from Frankfurt heading to Windhoek in Namibia. This is not only the first time that the Boeing 767, registration D-ABUA, is flying to Namibia for Condor, but it is also the leisure carrier’s first long-haul aircraft in the new gray-and-yellow Condor livery with a glowing Sunny Heart on its tail.

As of winter 2014/15, Condor will be taking passengers to the Namibian capital on Mondays and Thursdays. The direct connection will be offered in summer 2015 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, making Windhoek a year-round Condor destination. This means the leisure carrier is adding yet another African destination to its current ones in South Africa, Tanzania, and Kenya.

The first Condor flight to Grenada took off from Frankfurt on Saturday, 8 November. After a four-year break, the Caribbean island is now returning to the airline’s winter 2014/15 schedule, and will be flying Saturdays from Frankfurt.

Additionally Condor will add another Boeing 767-300ER (D-ABUS) next year. The 2001-built airplane will receive the new Condor cabin and fly to new destinations in the US (Portland and Providence).
