From January 2016, Air France will offer three flights a week with its Airbus A380 super-jumbo jet between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Mexico. From the end of March 2016, the aircraft will fly between the two cities daily.

Commenting on the agreement, Frédéric Gagey said, “Using our A380 on flights to Mexico this winter means we can improve our offering for this line and contribute even more to promoting tourism and increasing the number of interactions between Mexico and France”.

This aircraft offers twenty percent more seats than the Boeing 747 currently in use on the Paris-Mexico route. It also allows passengers the option of travelling in four long-haul flight cabins: La Première, Business, Premium Economy and Economy.

In a one-off flight in November 2013, an Air France A380 took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to land in Mexico for the first time, at Cancún Airport, demonstrating Air France’s confidence in its expansion into the country.

Airbus A380 flight schedule (local time)

AF 439: leaves Mexico at 9:10 p.m., arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 2:25 p.m.

For the summer 2015 season, Air France’s ten Airbus A380 aircraft are flying to eight destinations (Los Angeles, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Washington, Abidjan, Johannesburg, Hong Kong and Shanghai).
