A 90-minute pit stop at Berlin-Tegel: the branding of the Airbus A320-200 (registered as D-ABFG) presented two weeks prior has been modified. „Wir wollen die Spiele – Im Namen der Hauptstadt“ (We want the Games – in the name of the capital) now appears below the cockpit next to an outline of the Berlin skyline.

„airberlin is deploying every effort to support Berlin’s application for the 2024/2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our Games flyer 2.0 is now travelling throughout Germany and Europe, promoting our capital city. What is important to airberlin are the sporting spirit and cultural exchanges; it’s never too early to support that,“ stated Aage Dünhaupt, Senior Vice President Communications.

Recently, airberlin received notice from the initiators of the Berlin campaign that the previous logo could only be used in a limited manner.

„Our goal is to have a complete Games flyer for Berlin for the next phase of the application. We are therefore asking all of the capital city’s creative minds to support us and work together for one of the most important sporting events in the world. A competition of this type is sure to generate new momentum,“ continued Mr Dünhaupt.
