Moscovia Airlines to loose its AOC

Rosaviatsia, the federal Air Transport Agency of Russia, has revoked the Air Operatos Certificate (AOC) of Zhukovsky-based Moscovia Airlines effective August 29th. Prior to this CEO Mikhail Alexejev said his airline could no longer fly due to financial problems.

After numerous flight delays Rosaviatsia stopped ticket sales at the end of July. As a result Moscovia Airlines shrinked its network to only one flight from Moscow to Tivat (Montenegro). Alexejev hoped the airline can return to profitability by the end of the year. But this plan now failed.

Moscovia Airlines was found in 1994 in Zhukovsky near Moscow. The fleet consists of three new Sukhoi SuperJet 100, one Boeing 737 an two Antonov 12.
