Germania is expanding its engagement at Hamburg Airport. From march 2015 the german charter airline will fly directly to Paphos (Cyprus) said CEO Andreas Wobig at a meeting with Aviation Press Club in Hamburg. With four destinations in winter 2014/2015 Germania has significantly expanded its offering in comparison to the summer timetable 2014.

With two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays Cyprus is easily accessible even for a short break from Hamburg. In addition to the Hanseatic city Germania starts from March 2015 in cooperation with the Cypriot tourist office also from Berlin, Bremen, Dusseldorf and Erfurt-Weimar to Paphos.

With the announcement of the new route to Paphos the airline accelerated the expansion from Hamburg. For winter schedule two of the most popular destinations in the Atlantic and in North Africa already come with Madeira and Marrakech. As of March 2015 Germania also flies twice a week to Tel Aviv. In the summer timetable 2014 which is still valid until the end of October 2014, Germania starts from Hamburg Airport once a week to Rhodes.

For the expansion Germania will base two aircraft in Hamburg – one of them flies exklusively for aircraft manufacturer Airbus between Hamburg-Finkenwerder and Toulouse (monday till friday). The contract for the shuttle was extended in 2013 for another three years for the period from late 2014 to the end of 2017.
