Starting 21 September 2014, Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates will be launching a weekly cargo flight from EuroAirport to Dubai using a Boeing 777F aircraft. The flight is expected to transport goods such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and electronics.

The new Emirates SkyCargo flight EK 9757 is scheduled to depart from Amsterdam every Sunday at 10.50 hours local time and will arrive at EuroAirport at 12.10 hours local time. The plane will leave EuroAirport at 14.10 hours local time to arrive at Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport at 22.50 hours local time.

EuroAirport Management is delighted to welcome Emirates SkyCargo. Emirates’ decision to operate out of EuroAirport comes shortly before the opening of the new Cargo Terminal located in the south-west zone 4 of the airport and scheduled to go into service beginning of 2015. The new 21,000 m2 EuroAirport Cargo Terminal, representing an investment of 40 million euros, offers state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled infrastructure perfectly in line with the cool-chain requirements of local industry and logistics companies as well as extremely efficient freight processing.

Emirates’ decision also confirms the attractiveness of the EuroAirport site which provides direct access to the three countries – France, Switzerland and Germany – and which is situated near to Basel, home to some of the world’s major pharmaceutical companies.
