Air Alps (Austria) may resume operations once more. The bankrupt carrier’s parent company, Welcome Air, recently sold its majority stake in Air Alps to Germany’s Mitteldeutsche Aviation GmbH (MDA), AustrianAviation reports. MDA was involved in the short lived Rostock Airways venture.

After recapitalizing Air Alps wants to resume operations in early 2015 but needs a new Air Operatiors Certificate (AOC) from Austro Control.

Air Alps supended own operations last year due to financial difficulties. In February the carrier operated a Dornier 328 turboprop on behalf of Rostock Airways between Bremen an Zurich.
