airBaltic launches flights between Riga and Poprad

On 13 December airBaltic launched a new direct route linking Riga and Poprad, Slovakia. The once weekly service, offers convenient connections between the two cities and beyond to destinations in the Baltic region, Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS countries.

Martin Sedlacky, Board Member of airBaltic: “As a Slovak national myself working for the Latvian airline, I am very thrilled to see the two airports connected. Poprad in the High Tatras is an excellent and affordable skiing destination, which will benefit from tourism opportunities created by the new airBaltic route.”

The service will operate one-weekly return flight on Saturdays. airBaltic passengers will board a Boeing 737-300 aircraft for a flight that will last 1 hour 40 minutes. One way ticket prices will start at 55 EUR, including airport fees and transaction costs. A full schedule of airBaltic flights can be found on the company’s homepage at www.airBaltic.com
