Air Berlin inaugurates Stuttgart to Abu Dhabi service

Festive inauguration of the new airberlin route from Stuttgart to Abu Dhabi: In the morning of Monday, 1 December 2014, Joost den Hartog, Vice President Europe of Etihad Airways, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO airberlin, Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Baden-Württemberg and Prof. Georg Fundel, Managing Director of Stuttgart Airport welcome passengers for the first flight at the departure gate.

With immediate effect, the Airbus A320 will take off from Stuttgart daily, flying passengers to Abu Dhabi in around 6.5 hours. From there, connecting flights to 22 destinations operated by the partner airline Etihad Airways will be available, including destinations in the Near East, Asia and Australia.

The aircraft is equipped with 12 business class and 132 economy class seats. On the routes from Stuttgart to Abu Dhabi and from Vienna to Abu Dhabi airberlin is offering an on-board WiFi service for the first time. For a modest charge, passengers can use the Internet with their smartphones, laptops or tablets during the flight or stream films and TV series free of charge onto their own private electronic devices.
