Aeroflot and Aerolineas Argentinas, the flag carriers and largest airlines in Russia and Argentina respectively, signed a code-sharing agreement today at the Moscow International Tourism & Trade Exhibition (MITT 2015).

The agreement between the two airlines, both members of the SkyTeam global alliance, will strengthen the carriers’ positions in both markets and provide customers with greater convenience and flexibility in their travel. Madrid and Barcelona will serve as the transit hubs for the code-shared flights.

Subject to regulatory approval, Aerolineas Argentinas will place its ‘AR’ code on services operated by Aeroflot between Moscow and Buenos Aires via both Madrid and Barcelona.
