Leasing specialist AWAS announced today that it has agreed to lease three new A320 passenger aircraft to long-time customer Aegean Airlines. These aircraft were previously ordered by the airline directly from the manufacturer and will be part of Purchase and Leaseback transactions with AWAS.

Eftichios Vassilakis, Vice Chairman Aegean Airlines commented on the deal, “We are very pleased to expand our already strong relationship with AWAS. These new A320s will assist us to serve our expanding route destinations, further improve our efficiency and continue to provide our customers with a leading level of comfort and service.”

Ray Sisson, President & CEO AWAS commented, “AWAS is proud to have been chosen again by our long-time customer Aegean Airlines to provide this fleet solution for them. Core to our unique business model is identifying airlines early with strong future potential, and then developing a long-term relationship…growing with them as they expand and succeed. Aegean is a perfect example of that strategy in action.”

AWAS has had a strong business relationship with Aegean Airlines for over 15 years, originally providing 737 Classics and then migrating them to modern A320 family aircraft.
